‘Hoos to take NC State Wolfpack in Raleigh Saturday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - University of Virginia Football gets its first road-test of the season against a familiar ACC foe.

Kickoff is set for noon Saturday, September 6.

The Cavaliers are in Raleigh to take on North Carolina State University in what is actually a nonconference game.

After an impressive 48-7 season opening win over Coastal Carolina, head coach Tony Elliott knows things will be tougher against the Wolfpack.

Having Chandler Morris at quarterback, after he left Saturday’s game injured in the third quarter, will certainly help, Elliott said.

NC State opened its season with a 24-17 win over east Carolina, a game that did not go unwatched by Coach Elliott, he said to members of the media Tuesday.

“When I watch, I’m like ‘man, that’s NC State, that I’m accustomed to,” Elliott said. “Flying around, really good on defense, quarterback is very, very dynamic.”
