Albemarle School Board to see budget proposal during Feb. 22 meeting
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - The first of many budget work sessions is being held Thursday evening for Albemarle County Public Schools.
“Our primary goal is to not have race, class, gender, special capabilities, language, all those things be the predictors of student success in the schools. That is our mission that we want to accomplish,” Superintendent Matt Haas said Thursday, February 22.
A draft funding request will be presented during the session, which is set to get underway at 6:30 p.m. inside Lane Auditorium at the County Office Building. The presentation will address topics like a $13.3 million funding gap, as well as proposals for how to keep ACPS on track for students and employees.
