Albemarle Ciderworks’ Apple Harvest Fest returns this weekend
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - Albemarle Ciderworks will hold its 26th annual Apple Harvest Fest on Saturday, November 7.
The free event is co-hosted by the Cove Garden Ruritan Club. It will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The festival will include food trucks, crafts, hayrides around the mountain, and Brunswick stew cooked over an open fire.
The Cove Garden club raises money from the event for its budget, which goes toward community scholarships and initiatives.
Anne Shelton, general manager of Albemarle Ciderworks, said the event brings people together.
“We really enjoy bringing the community together. We get a lot of local folks, but also people coming from Richmond and from Northern Virginia just for the day,” Shelton said. “And it’s a great way to highlight our local vendors, our local craft and food vendors. We have such a great community here. And we really enjoy highlighting that.”
Most vendors will take cards, but cash is recommended.
