Husband killed 2 young children in parking garage 1 day before his therapy appointment, wife says

MT. LEBANON, Pa. (KDKA) — A brother and sister, just 8 and 6 years old, are now being remembered with flowers at a makeshift memorial in Pennsylvania.

Authorities said James and Caroline Lynch died along with their father, 42-year-old Patrick Lynch, in a murder-suicide on Tuesday.

Authorities ruled the deaths of both children homicides.

Police said all three were pronounced dead near a parking garage after an “apparent fall.”

Friends shared with KDKA a message that the children’s mother, Anna Lynch, posted on social media. She wrote that her husband had been laid off in August and later became depressed. She said he agreed to go see a therapist and had an appointment booked for Wednesday, a day after the deaths.
