The family said they opened the candy to inspect it and found a needle inside the Snickers bar. They said they reported it to police.

Columbus Police Department confirmed that they received the report, and said they have not received any other reports of items found inside candy.

Police said people should always inspect any candy that comes from people they do not know and dispose of it properly if it has been tampered with.
