8-month-old dies after left alone in running bathtub, police say
STERLING, Va. (Gray News) - A Virginia woman was arrested after her 8-month-old died after being left unattended in a bathtub, according to authorities.
Rosellena Pisani, 30, was arrested and charged with homicide, two counts of child abuse and three counts of child endangerment, a press release said.

On Sept. 12, emergency medical personnel and sheriff’s deputies responded to the residence after receiving a call about an unresponsive infant. Investigators determined the baby had been left unsupervised in a bathtub with the water running.
Three children, ranging in age from 8 months to 8 years old, were at home during the incident, according to police.
Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman called the baby’s death heartbreaking, saying caregivers have a fundamental duty to protect children. He added investigators remain committed to seeking justice in the case.
