CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WBTV/Gray News) - The owner of a Charlotte-area urgent care was arrested over the weekend, accused of shooting two sisters during a road rage incident, authorities said.

The shooting happened about 9 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 77 North in Virginia, about 3 miles past the North Carolina border.

Virginia State Police said two passengers inside a Jeep, a 20-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl, were shot in the leg during the road rage incident. The victims were hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Troopers said the passengers were sisters.

State police said the suspect, Richard T. Arriviello, 61, was pulled over and arrested about 15 miles farther north on I-77.

VSP says it stopped the suspect's vehicle on Exit 19 of Interstate 77 on Aug. 22.
