Postal worker shot and killed, suspect arrested

WILKES COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV/Gray News) - A postal worker was shot and killed in North Carolina, according to state investigators.

Brandi Byrd Reynolds was shot on June 26 in Wilkes County, a representative from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation wrote in a social media post.

Reynolds, a United States Postal Service employee, died at the scene.

Following an investigation, William Craig Durham was arrested. Those charges were not immediately made available.

An investigation is underway between the NCSBI, the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Postal Service.
