CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - ReadyKids has announced it is now accepting gently used or brand new coats, mittens, and hats for its community-wide donation drive.

The organization is seeking both children’s and adult-sized items to help those in need stay warm as temperatures begin to drop.

Donations can be dropped off during ReadyKids’ office hours. Shaniece Bradford, the Director of Community Engagement for ReadyKids, says this will keep someone warm for the season.

“We recognize that there is a need within this community as the temperatures begin to drop, there is a need for coats, hats, and mittens,” Bradford said. “So this is just one of the many ways we are trying to meet the need of the people in the community. Sometimes it’s just doing the small act to meet the need.”

Those interested in donating can arrange a drop-off time with ReadyKids.
