Newsweek ranks UVA Health the best of VA in seven specialties

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Newsweek has ranked UVA Health number one in Virginia for seven different specialties.

Those include the children’s, orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, and cancer hospitals.

UVA Health says this is part of its 10-year plan that ensures patients get top care in-state.

“It really shows the quality, the dedication and the coming together to really care for patients all throughout Virginia and really the specialized care,” UVA Health CEO Wendy Horton said. “It is being provided right here in Charlottesville.”

Horton says UVA Health will continue to focus on the quality of care.
