Ronald McDonald House Charities expanding services in Charlottesville

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - More resources are coming for families of children who are patients at UVA Health.

Ronald McDonald House Charities is expanding at its 9th Street location. It will now also own what was once Ronnie’s Auto Service.

RMHC says this will eventually allow the group to provide a place to stay for more families.

The nonprofit offers a bed, meal, and laundry service at no cost.

“We’re looking to make sure that we can provide the best services for our families, and be able to allow for new families to come into the home and not be turned away,” RMHC Chief Executive Officer Alisa Powell said.
